Evening with Industry
On Tuesday, October 28th, SWE will be holding its annual Evening with Industry. EWI is SWE's premier dinner and networking event held for all UCSD engineering students (women AND men!) that is FREE!
The event begins at 6 PM and will start with a dinner where you will be seated at a table with a company pertaining to your major followed by the keynote given by Barbara Noerrenberg, VP of Program Management at Qualcomm. You will be able to talk to the company representatives at your table to gain insight on the industry, what it's like to work as an engineer, and any other questions you may have. This is your opportunity to get one-on-one with a company rep and to have them get to know you!
Following the dinner is a career fair where all the companies in attendance will have booths for you to visit. BRING YOUR RESUMES!! Fall is the time for companies to begin hiring full time employees. Underclassmen will also benefit from this career fair by scoping out possible internships with companies for the next summer or even in the next quarter!
